Here’s a little something that’s super near and dear to my heart. This pride month I wanted to create a piece of art that really meant something to me, and to my family. Both my younger sibling and I are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I loosely based this painting off of a photo of my sibling, Skylar, when I took them to their first Pride Parade in Seattle back in 2013. I remember that day being so incredibly emotional and full of love, and I am so proud of how far my sibling has come with their identity and who they are as a person.
